Since maybe about 2022 I began growing frustrated at the recent sensationalisation of the media, where all they do is interpret whatever headline they're 'reporting' and thereby indoctrinate people with their view of the world (which believe it or not is far from the actual global point of view. This sensationalisation doesn't seem recent to me, for as long as maybe the 1990s the media has devolved into a race for ratings, but let's be real, it really doesn't have to be this way.
As long as the media cares about ratings, it'll be all they care about. I think Ron Jeremy in the Anchorman II movie said it best, "why do we have to report what they need to hear, why not just report to them what they want to hear?"
No, the change needs to be more local, if we can't trust the corporations to do the right thing, then why don't we just do it ourselves and leave ourselves to interpret things for us? And so I do truly think that things can change, but only when we as a people rise.
This is another point I think I need to elaborate on, why on Earth have people conditioned themselves to describe any basic political thought on a (frankly VERY superficial) line? It astounds me, I mean you say anything relating to "strong nation" and people immediately think you're a Fascist, same thing with saying "long live the people!" and have people say you're a Communist. In my "deep" political conversations with the people I meet (they're getting more and more frequent, it's starting to bother me), they find it difficult to understand that I simply do not have a proper political alignment, I am not a Communist, neither am I a Socialist, Libertarian, Fascist or a Nazi, and I'm not a Capitalist either. I'd consider myself Syncretic (or 'big tent') where I find the good in any idea and I simply endorse that idea. Hey, is it so bad to say "I like to have a functioning [insert thing here]!" Apparently, we all limit ourselves to the type of ideology we follow, you can't be a Fascist and simultaneously endorse democratic principles and not discriminate people based on superficial attributes, you can't be a Communist and simultaneously warrant your own interests for survival, and you can't be a Capitalist and simultaneously allow yourself to be altruistic in critical financial matters. This is (to my belief) ridiculous.
Thought the blog would look bigger once I was finished with it, oh well!
