Emilia-Romagna Suffers a Storm

On the 25th August 2025, the coast of the Romagna region of Emilia-Romagna suffered a heavy storm.

The storm primarily targeted the coast region of Romagna, Veneto was also hit with wind and rain.

The following towns and cities were notably affected:

• Rimini
• Cervia
• Milano Marittima
• Cavallino-Treporti

The storm precipated over 50mm of rain in 6 hours @ Rimini. Tourist activity continued regardless of the storm.

The President of the Emilia-Romagna region Michele De Pascale regarded on the storm in saying:

"We are on the ground with all the mayors of the coast and the bathing and tourism operators" - President of Emilia-Romagna Michele De Pascale

Firefighters and other emergency services were deployed on the Romagna coast in response to the storm.

Since the storm, all services and beaches at the Romagna coast are once again fully operational.

The damage caused by the storm is as follows:

• 250 pine trees have been destroyed @ Milano Marittima
• 200 homes have been left without water @ Milano Marittima
• 83 homes have been left without gas @ Milano Marittima
• 14 maritime pines have been destroyed @ Cavallino-Treporti
