THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT

La Battaglia's guide to the Italian Republic's structure and its functions

Preamble

Italy's government is... complicated. In fact, it is seldom understood properly, at least in the Western world. The issue lies with a great overlooking, both in the Italian media (just see the garbage they play at RAI or the glossing over they do at TG7) and the more well known 'mainstream' media (such as CNN, Euronews, BBC). While I don't blame the mainstream media for getting it wrong (as usual, they don't do that much research on any country other than their own), the same CANNOT be said for Italian media, they're in Italy for crying out loud. Essentially, since the Italian media is incapable of doing their job (informing the people), I'll try to get people to understand the Italian government and its systems a little better, hopefully I won't leave anything behind, and I'll try to be as unbiased and accurate as possible.
